8.15am

M was the first one to come. They asked me to be in their podcast. We walked around Astra, and they wanted to know about the building, what kind of faculties or organisations there were. We took the elevator upstairs and tried all the locked doors on different floors, testing which ones my key could open.

Some of the places we couldn’t get into: the Astra Blue Economy Centre, which works on research and issues affecting the Baltic Sea. We also came across IT services and the Department of Social Sciences, including sociology and political science.

We went back to the bench and chatted some more. We talked about performance art, work, the project, and other things. M told me they live nearby and that they might come back after having a coffee.

10am

P came. They requested an interview for Turun Sanomat. They asked a lot of questions about the project and how it began. We also talked about my expectations and wishes. We had met before and time went fast. We had a nice talk

11.30am

S came. They pulled out Tarot cards and wanted me to do a reading for them. We walked around the building and finally found a quiet corner upstairs. I told them I had no real experience in reading the cards but that I would do my best. They told me that the cards came to them from their dead uncle, who had a huge library of esoteric and spiritual literature and paraphernalia. I imagined a house full of secrets and curiosities, and S told me that’s how it was. The cards were old and beautiful, The Rider Tarot Deck. They asked questions about a person close to them. I did a reading with three cards. They got The Seven of Pentacles, representing patience and persistence; The Knight of Cups, representing creativity and following your heart; and the last card was The Eight of Wands, representing speed and rapid action. I answered the best I could. We spent a long time together, yet it went fast.
